Where have all the silver haired workers gone? 

Despite a lot of open jobs, there are close to a million and a half unemployed seniors looking for work.

Labor Economist Teresa Ghilarducci says older workers are more likely to experience long-term unemployment. 

They also face a host of obstacles, including ageism and finding few alternatives to low paying, low skilled jobs that can be hard to leave without additional training.

"Sure, some seniors took the pandemic as an opportunity to ride an RV into the sunset, but there's a darker story unfolding in today's jobs report. Today's show looks at the challenges many older worker can face as they try to reenter the workforce."
